If I had to give a new landscape photographer one piece of advice, it would definitely be that less is more. There is a tendency to want to cram as much as possible in the frame, and while a very wide focal length is definitely appropriate in some scenarios, in others, it can leave the image feeling overly cluttered and unfocused, making it difficult for the viewer to know what they are supposed to be looking at. Ask yourself if there is anything in the frame that isn't contributing to the mood you are trying to create with the image. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
