Mountain King

While camping high in the Cascade Range, we were visited by this magnificent animal. Aware but unconcerned, he and his band of mountain goats wandered closely around our rock cairn--so close I didn't require the full reach of my zoom lens. Of all the dozens and dozens of photos of these incredible creatures, this image is my favorite--he practically seemed to pose--sun glinting in his eye and bathed in a background of blue.
