Taken on a misty autumn morning near La Trapa, close to the town of Maella in Aragón, this image captures the soft light and atmospheric layers created as the sun rose through the haze. Each ridge fades gradually into the next, revealing the natural contours of the landscape and creating a strong sense of depth.

Using a telephoto focal length allowed me to compress the perspective and lead the viewer’s eye toward the church in the middle distance, which provides a focal point within the wider scene. The warm, low-angle light adds subtle tonal variation across the landscape — details that would quickly disappear later in the day.

This photograph is about observing and waiting for the right conditions. The combination of early morning light, mist, and layered terrain came together to create a calm, understated scene that shows the quieter side of rural Aragón.
