Double Arch over Stokksnes

We had arrived at our room at the Hotel just a few minutes earlier. We didn't know if we'd finally have any luck in this incredible place, but we were sure that at some point during the night we'd have to go out and try our luck. What I didn't know was that it would be in just a few minutes.

Shortly after dropping off my backpack and tripod and taking off my coat, I pulled back the curtain, looked up at the sky, and was speechless. A green expanse stretched across the hotel towards the sea. In a few minutes, we were in the car on our way to the beach.

Upon arriving, we saw the Northern Lights in the sky, on both sides of the car. We got out and quickly gathered all our equipment. Now we had to find a good spot. This was very difficult because: 1. It was nighttime. 2. Everything was white and untouched (it must have snowed recently). 3. One eye was searching for a place to set up the tripod, and the other couldn't stop staring at the sky.

At one point, I started wandering around aimlessly, trying to find a spot I liked. I don't know how, but I finally found it. I planted the tripod in the green snow and, amid laughter and shouts of joy, I started taking photos.

I didn't know if I had managed to get any. In situations like that, anything can go wrong. But I had finally experienced my "Northern Lights moment in Stokksnes." And that moment will be etched in my memory forever.
