Storm Light

Stormy weather has its unknowns for us photographers. The light can be amazing, the sea movement can be remarkable, but rain can prevent us from capturing the show, the waves can be strong and prevent us from reaching the right spot, and of course there is always the possibility that the clouds won’t reveal any texture, leaving the skies flat and uninspiring. And that’s why when everything finally comes together, when the storm parts just enough for the light to break through, when the sea dances with power and grace, and the clouds twist into dramatic shapes, those moments become unforgettable. They remind us why we chase the storm in the first place.
