Glacial River

during my December–January visit to Iceland, a visit that turned out to be unusually warm. Instead of the deep snow and stark contrasts often associated with Icelandic winters, the landscape revealed a more subdued, almost autumn like character. Patches of green moss, exposed volcanic soil, and flowing meltwater replaced what would normally be frozen terrain.
Low clouds and drifting mist wrapped around the mountains, softening the light and adding a sense of depth and atmosphere to the scene proving that even if the weather is not necessarily what you expected it can still provide a majestic scenery.
