Starfish migration

Mastery can seem like magic, what it really is though is a huge amount of specific skills working in tandem to create a final product. For this photo I was trying to focus very specifically on the foreground. The foreground is something I’ve found challenging in the past but at this site there were many good options to choose from. There were many starfish, I must of seen 100 that day, but I kept repeating to myself quality over quantity. Eventually I found this starfish, and even though it is alone, its perfect symmetry and alignment with the background sea stacks seemed to be just what the scene needed. Fairly average light and conditions otherwise.
