The scent of melancholic city.

Home to more than 30 million people, Dhaka is a city stripped of illusion. From every corner of Bangladesh, people pour into this overcrowded metropolis in search of work, healthcare, education, and the promise of opportunity. They inhabit the hollow shells of concrete buildings, stacked tightly upon one another, surviving rather than living. This melancholic city offers little in return—only choking pollution, mountains of garbage, and a quiet, lingering sadness.
