This photograph shows a Snowy Egret perched on a concrete post along the Bay Pier at Fort De Soto Park in Florida. The bird’s white plumage contrasts with the yellow building, clothing displays, and tourists visible in the background. The image was taken on February 14, 2014 using a Nikon D7100 with a 35mm f/1.8 lens at ƒ/11, 1/200s, ISO 100. It is part of the Top 100 Journey project and documents coastal wildlife in a busy pier setting.
What a beautiful Snowy Egret.
And a great image to theorize about in the photographic journey, ( checked out your Top 100 - very cool) - if this was my image, I would have loved the image as it is shown here, but I probably would have cropped out the left side from about the center of the light pole, and tried to clean up the concrete post between the pole and egret.
