Winter light has a Sfumato effect

A little "Light and Shadows" from you!

It's been said, "You can learn something new everyday."

Today I looked up two things from your image's description, a little "Where and What" - and now I know two somethings new! :D

Yes Frank and I can attest to that!
And just because you learned two doesn't mean you can take a day off tomorrow :D
Learn every day as much as you can! YEAH!

I love winter light, and looking up Sfumato Effect I learned why. Though I have used the type of light for many years, just because I liked it, I had no idea that there was a name for it. Probably something that was taught in the Art History classes that I slept through in university. This looks almost like Death Valley, but I couldn't speak on that with certainty.

Thank you for your comment Nathan, as always. I too have been fascinated by this lighting for years. But have only recently came across it's name, in a reference to some early work of Leonardo da Vinci.
