On my way back from the village, I came across a craftsman skillfully weaving a traditional bamboo basket by hand. In many rural communities of Bangladesh, this age-old craft is passed down through generations, preserving a rich heritage of bamboo craftsmanship despite the growing dominance of plastic alternatives. These handmade bamboo buckets remain widely used for storing vegetables such as potatoes and pointed gourd reflecting both practicality and tradition.
