Boil

This was from an experience I had many, many years ago. A much younger time. The foreground is Desolation Lake. That magnificent mountain is Mt. Humphreys (Appox. 14,000 ft.). It was one of the most intense experiences I've ever had on a solo backpacking trip. The High Sierra Mountain range can be very treacherous if you're not careful. Always pay attention. So beautiful, but so foreboding. That formation is an ominous omen. Shits about to happen! And it did. It was the lightning strikes that unnerved me. there was no 1,2,3 second counting from when you see the flash to thunder time. That means lightning is directly overhead. Don't f**k with lighting! With all that. I'm glad I went through it. The experience taught much. About myself.
