Lenticulars

24-105 mm lens

Creating atmospheric standing waves over The White Mountain, east of the Eastern Sierra Mountain range. Elevation 14,252 feet. Lenticulars mean it's windy up there. It's a hard trek. It was a place I would go to hang out with Golden Eagles. No lie. When the weather gets rough. Golden Eagles excel.
The photo was a challenge. It was taken from the Eastern Sierra Mountains outside of Bishop, CA. With a Canon 5D II and 24-105 mm lens. Several shots then stitched together. It creates an interesting flow. For a long time I did not like this image. But I kept it. And now I like it. Time changes perceptions.
