📍 Cordillera Blanca, Peru 🇵🇪

Here’s my first photo from my recent trip to Peru.

There are moments when it’s hard to decide where to look 🏔️🔥. The clouds parted just as the sun was setting, revealing, one after another, some of the giants of the Andes: Ulta, Huascarán Sur, Chopicalqui, Pisco, Chacraraju, and Contrahierbas.

In the center, Huascarán Sur, at 6,768 meters, dominates the landscape. It’s the highest mountain in Peru and one of the most impressive peaks in all of the Americas. But from up here, surrounded by peaks, glaciers, and clouds drifting through the valleys, the numbers almost fade into the background.

For a few minutes, the sky lit up and the entire mountain range changed color. It was one of those moments when you simply let the drone fly and stare at the screen, thinking: Is this really happening? 🌄☁️

The Cordillera Blanca has a very special way of reminding you just how small you are. And perhaps that’s why it’s so awe-inspiring.
