Cosmic Confluence

I will never forget how dark the skies were that night in Capitol Reef. The Milky Way burned brightly above the red rock desert, perfectly framed by the twisting form of an old tree. It felt like pure luck that I was able to capture this scene only thirty minutes later, clouds swept across the sky and the stars vanished.
