The ancient white cliffs descend into the sea, where solid rock meets moving water and geological time meets the restless motion of the waves.
Captured twenty years ago near Divnomorskoye on the Black Sea coast with a Konica Minolta Dynax 7D and a 28-75mm f/2.8 lens, this remains one of my favorite images. A reminder that compelling landscapes do not always require dramatic weather or extraordinary light; sometimes the enduring beauty of a place is enough.
