I was in the city with no tripod and only my 15mm attached to my camera when this summer storm rolled through Perth city. All i remember was the storm came in fast with really frequent strikes, i literally took the shirt off my back to nestle the camera in and used the timer to avoid any shake.. very surprisingly i walked away with a good handful of worthy shots. Happy days.
