At 55 and with asthma, the 1/2 mile and very steep climb to the top of Clingman’s dome was worth it to see these beautiful mountains. It took us nearly an hour to climb to the top. It’s the closest to mountain climbing I’ll probably ever get, but I was determined to do it. Having my camera with me only motivated me further. I have no regrets and a couple of nice shots.
