In Distress

Taken whilst hiking/photographing in the Snowdonia mountains at night in winter, a parachute flare was launched by mountain rescue services as they homed in on a fallen climber who had slipped 80ft from a peak. A 2nd flare was launched a few minutes later and I was in position to capture this one as they only last a few short minutes. The climber was located, rescued and airlifted out.
