Monique & The Stallion 01

55mm · f/11.0 · 1/125s · ISO 400

This was shot on location in Bendigo which a rural town approx 2 hours north of Melbourne in Australia.

It has been an idea that I've wanted to shoot for the longest time but took a long time to organize. We found an amazing family that supplied horses and carriages for film use and they were very happy to help us out.

Unfortunately the day of the shoot the weather was terrible and rained most of the day but we did get lucky. Every time we were ready to shoot, the rain seemed to hold off.

The background was comprised of 2 very large painted backgrounds.

They were different colours so they had to be adjusted in post production.

Lighting includes a 1.2m octagonal soft box as the key light on the left and a light on the right behind the horse.

Absolutely stunning, Greg.

well bad weather but excellent results, nice job with the lightning, I'm wondering about your lights setup, how did you manage to light the hair!?, really good!

The hair was lit from a strobe to the right and behind the model on a very tall light stand
