A cloudy and windy night at the famous mountain Kirkjufell. Hunting the Aurora Borealis in Iceland can be a challenge when the clouds come in! In this case we studied the weathermaps for open spots in the clouds and the area around Kirkjufell at Snefællsnes peninsula looked like the best option for us that night!
We saw the Aurora Borealis through the clouds all night, unfortunately not the best conditions as the clouds got thicker and thicker but I found this fantastic composition where the shapes of the ice in the foreground kinda represented the same shape as the Kirkjufell mountain!
