Wood Duck Luck

Wood ducks have been a nemesis bird for me. Very hard to locate, very skittish, and never in decent light. But this drake and his family spent an hour with me one day and changed my Wood Duck luck.
I have other photos with a perfectly clean background that others may preferer, but I chose this because I liked his pose and the painterly look of the OOF pond apple trees behind him.
