A second post from my lucky Wood Duck encounter. Because they are hunted, they are a very shy species, usually staying as far from humans as possible.

What wonderful interaction! And I like the light a lot, too. I have always greatly preferred direct spectral light for Wood Duck drakes. It shows the colors of the head plumage in ways that cannot be equalled by dispersed light.
Lovely, detailed image of these beautiful ducks! The action makes it extra special!
