The Dead Sea is a salty lake located at the lowest point on earth, its surface is 430.5 meters (1,412 ft) below sea level and constantly changing.
Due to its location deep in the Jordan valley, the early morning hours usually lack any winds and the water is almost standing still, like ice.
During blue hour, shooting long exposure provides extremely smooth water and a wonderful atmosphere, as seen in this picture.
