Morning glow

I woke at 3 am to drive to Garmisch Partenkirchen and shoot the sun rising at Geroldsee. It was a cold frosty morning and the skies were pretty clear. I had a shot in my head that I wanted to achieve. I hiked up to the point where I wanted to get this shot from and set up my camera. As I was waiting for the sun to rise this was the scene that presented itself behind me. I took full advantage of these beautiful views and came away with some great shots that I wasn't expecting to get!
