Modus Incertum

50mm · f/5.0 · 1/250s · ISO 100

Lately I've been enjoying returning to photos in my archives. It's always great to look back on photos I never edited with fresh eyes.

This was achieved with two lights and a curved reflector. The key light was a 17" white beauty dish. The shadow on the camera left side of the face was created in camera using a 24x36 Matthews flag. There is a gridded light on the background to create some separation on the shadow side. The Cheetah BowFlector provides the characteristic curved catchlight to draw attention, emotion, and mystery to the eyes.
