Nobody tells you how challenging yet satisfying self-portraiture can be. Sometimes there are things you can reveal to yourself through your camera which you'd not realized were there.
I took this at a pretty low point.

If you've never taken serious portraits of yourself in a quiet studio with no distractions, It's a practice I would definitely recommend all photographers embark upon at least once per year.
