Zoner has announced a significant update to their photo editing and management software, Zoner Photo Studio X. The fall 2024 release introduces several AI-powered features, improvements to output quality, and enhanced customization options.

Notable AI Features
The new AI face detection feature provides detailed close-ups of faces in images, allowing users to quickly select the best shots where subjects aren't blinking and faces are in focus.
In the Develop module, AI can now recognize facial features and suggest enhancements using radial filters. This creates subtle brightening and detail enhancement for a natural look, with users retaining full control over adjustment intensity.
The automatic background removal tool is designed to help e-commerce photographers quickly prepare product images.
Improved Processing and Output Quality
Zoner Photo Studio X now features redesigned handling of blown-out highlights and exposure settings in the Develop module. A new "Color Reconstruction" setting gives users more control over color behavior around highlights.
The software also introduces universal chromatic aberration removal, which can correct lens defects even without a specific lens profile.
Customization and Workflow Enhancements
The fall update brings extensive customization options, including the ability to combine keyboard shortcuts with mouse wheel scrolling to adjust settings. Support for editing consoles like Loupedeck+ has also been added.
Video editing sees improvements with the addition of anchor points for transforming clips, images, and text directly in the preview. The Print module now includes rulers and grids for more precise photo book creation.
Fujifilm X-Trans raw files now load up to 2.4 times faster than in previous versions, and a new checkbox-style selection system has been implemented for easier file management.
