Summer’s behind us in Australia, with autumn well underway and the water temperature starting to fall. For nightscape photographers though, it’s getting into the best kind of beach weather. Autumn and winter mean more stable air, less humidity to fog up the sky and more chance of having great locations to yourself. The Milky Way’s core rises earlier each evening and there’s plenty of airglow to give a nice tint to the sky. Dive in, the stars are fine!
