Storm over the Texas Hill Country

This is a shot I took while I was traveling with a university photography class. It was the last day and we were kind of disparaged because the light was really dull and grey over these beautiful fields of flowers and trees, but then as we began to pack up the sun sank below the cloud line and just lit up the sky like fire.

Patience always pays off!

That's the truth! I've always found it difficult to stay still long enough to shoot landscapes, but sometimes when the conditions are right, staying an extra 10 minutes could mean the difference between an average and a good shot. :P

Surreal! Love the focal length used that created an expansive, colorful landscape.
