This natural light portrait with ukrainian model Angelina Petrova was shot in a puplic atrium. The atrium is laid out in east-west-direction, so that at the right time, the sunset provides a great background and rim light. The open sky behind the camera creates a defined light for the models face while the building walls to the left and to the right create shadows for an interesting three dimensional light pattern on the model.
Minor retouching was done here to the skin tones and the overall contrast. I left the coloring completely untouched.
Very nice work.... love your description of your lighting and seeing the possibilities open up when thinking about using the surroundings to aid in natural light.
