Hatchet Work

I was asked by Local Video Game design hero's Hinterland Games to create some merchandise images for their online storefront that were visually striking enough to catch the eye of their players. Since some of the their game scenes are based on my photos of the Cumberland wilderness we went back out to the woods and did a series everyone was really happy with, using the employees as models. This guy is from the front office. I always liked the sort of "Psycho" feel to this image. I had hard low sunlight casting wicked shadows from the bare trees and I used two small speedlights in softboxes to provide fill.
