Broccoli Yoga

I've been asked by so many people what this amazing green stuff was on the photo, and honestly, first I had no clue either. I was just in love with how it looked and knew I wanted to shoot on it.
After doing my research I learned that it was called 'The Korean Velvet Grass'. My Korean friends have never heared about such thing. Ha.

The view was gorgeous from this backyard but I was more interested in the grass than anything else.
Luckily, the balcony was right above this area so I was able to shoot my subject from the angle that made the photo look very unique.

I knew that my Canon 24-70mm 2.8 wide angle lens would give it a dramatic look.
My EXIF info shows I shot this at 39mm which wasn't intentional, I was just experimenting to see which focal length would give me the look I liked.

The light setup was very easy, natural light only, the entire area was in shade that gave me beautiful and even ambient lighting.

Post processing:
I used Lightroom to make the greens look more saturated and darker and the whites brighter to create a nice contrast.
In Photoshop I did a little cleanup on the grass, removing the distracting bright objects like the reflections of the garden sprinkles.

Awesome shot. Love the composition and the texture of the grass is amazing.

Really is stunning

My heritage is Korean and I never heard of Korean Velvet Grass......with that said....AMAZING SHOT!!!

Awesome shot!

Something special right here :)

Love the textures.

What intrigues me about this photo is the initial illusion the model floating some distance above the background. It isn't until you look closely at her left foot you realise she is actually 'sitting' on the background.

At first it looked like the model was flying high above trees, but when I realized it was grass I decided that I need to walk in that photo barefoot. Love the contrast between the white and green!

This is such a stunning and unique shot! At first I thought it was some type of underwater algae and she was floating on top. Very cool! Congrats on a once in a lifetime capture!

Awesome work.
