Nicole Bennett 03

One of the things I really enjoy with photography is to experiment with lighting and I have been playing with colored gels and metallic body paint for a little while now.

In this particular setup I had a red gel on the left, a blue gel on the right and a yellow gel as a rear back highlight.

During the shoot, the yellow gel had fallen off without me knowing and I kept shooting and by mistake, I ended up with this wonderful gold highlight coming from behind her. This particular 'goof' turned out to have a very cool effect and something I will be experimenting with a bit more in my next Metallica shoot.

Very cool image and concept. Care to share what you are using for the silver/metalic effect? Is it paint and does it clean up easily?

I lot of the look is actually done in post production but the gold paint we used is some mix that my MUA creates for the shoot and I have no idea what it is

I recently asked the bodypaint artist what she uses and apparently its a gold dust mixed with olive oil.

The olive oil is what makes the amazing shine and is super easy to wash off.

This is really amazing!

Thanks
