I had the opportunity to tour the magnificent Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC, over the weekend. This 8,000 acre mountain estate was built by George Vanderbilt between 1889 and 1895. The home itself is 178,926 square feet.
Biltmore is now home to 3 luxury hotels, a working farm that provides for its restaurants, gardens, and the most visited winery in the nation.
