Stranded

This image was taken at Goblin Valley near Hanksville Utah. It is a 9 image pain stitched together and edited in Photoshop. I illuminated the “goblins” in the scene in a way I have never seen another landscape photographer Light such a subject. I carried a studio light on a Light stand, complete with umbrella attached, out into the desert and used it to give me some beautiful soft light on the hoodoos as the Milky Way hovered above like a ghost in the desert air. All the images stitched together were taken at an ISO of 5000, shutter 30 seconds, and an aperture of f/3.2... no blending of exposures was done here, only stitching was done to capture this very wide scene.
