Coyote Buttes South

I'm not so much a hiker as a determined walker. To reach this spot deep inside Coyote Buttes South, you need every ounce of determination you can muster. My hiking tip for the day is when walking through thick sand, take short steps. If you have a sun umbrella, take it on this trip; because, there is very little shade. Always remember, when you are halfway done with your water, you are half way done with your hike. I walked just over 11 miles on this adventure. I carried 2 gallons of water and drank every ounce of it. Was it worth the effort? Oh yeah!
