Backstroke Launch

A unique take on a swimmer's launch off the wall to begin a backstroke heat. Shot entirely in-studio, I wanted to create an image that put the focus squarely on the athlete without the noise of his surroundings. The black background combined with the crisp contrast of the water really puts the emphasis on the swimmer in a way that I would not have been able to do in the public pool.
