Look at this vibrant and colorful male Rainbow Dung Beetle (Phanaeus vindex). Ancient Egypt used to worship the scarab beetles and some of the beautiful ones were made into jewelry. Now days Rainbow Scarabs are found in many of the Eastern states in the US. They are very valuable to our ecosystem as they help clean waste accumulation.
