Face of a Pitbull

A face you can't ignore, this girl is a force to be reckoned with. She is a nocturnal carnivorous katydid called the pitbull katydid (Lirometopum coronatum) native to Costa Rica. This is one katydid you don't want to mess with as they are ferocious hunters who will devour any insect they can, and may even go for your finger with a hard bite or two. They do seem to learn to recognize faces and will calm down once they know who you are...
