Bastion Cascades, Tasmania

Tasmania's Meander Valley is full of hidden gems. Bastion Cascades is one of its crown jewels. Its beauty must be earned though. The loop walk is a 5.5 hour trek through dense bush and often steep and muddy terrain with quite a few spots where staying on the overgrown track can be challenging.

Superp comp and edit Dietmar!

Much appreciated Hans, it's a magical spot deep in our ancient forest.

Gorgeous, Dietmar! That glassy foreground cascade looks so... liquid. Excellent composition, as Hans says. Tassie can be so lush, and you've captured this perfectly here. I'm usually there this time of year. Itching to head back. Love the place.
