DC Sunrise

I was actually driving to another location to shoot the sunrise, but as I was driving I noticed this awesome area on the side of the highway across from Georgetown University and overlooking Washington DC. I'm glad I decided to pull over and shoot at this location because I love the contrast created by the tree and the symbolic contrast between the nature (Oak Tree, River and Sunrise) and the city (you can see Roslyn and the Washington Memorial on the horizon). For me, this photo shows the power and beauty of nature purely and I hope you enjoy it!
