This is a Dark Eyed Junko photographed at Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Virginia. This Junko caught my eye because he was hoping along the coastline in and out of brush on top of logs, but never really flying. I imagine he was scanning everywhere for food and I followed him for about 100 feet until he flew away. This is the picture that I took of him that I like the most mainly because the deep texture of the rotting log and the bright green and red of the Entodon Seductrix moss.
