White Breasted Nuthatch

This Nuthatch was scaling trees in a playground for hours until I caught him at the perfect spot prior to jumping to another tree. Nuthatches walk up and down trees looking for insects and small nuts to consume and are interesting to watch, but are relatively shy so you need to stay still and wait for them to give you an opportunity.
