Eastern Sedge Frog

Using a narrow depth of field with my macro lens helped me to isolate this minute frog in the frame (approximately two centimetres in length). To light the frog I used a single diffused speedlight from an angle that allowed for an almost moonlight like feel. This was one of many frogs resting in ferns and low shrubs along the banks of a billabong, and was resting after hours of continuous calling.
