Athena - the goddess of wisdom & war
To me, representing the legacy and our memory of a given subject takes precedence over the "true-to-life" representation in a portrait.
This portrait is a portrait of my wife's 15 years-old cat. It does not represent her as old, but rather as the fierce cat she's always been, owning up to her name as we'll always remember her.
To capture the fierce look on her face, she was being fed some treats. So no worries, she's neither a snow leopard nor threatening ;)
