Sikh Wedding Ceremony

This Sikh temple in LaSalle is an absolute beauty both from inside and from outside. This frame really caught my eye while shooting a Sikh wedding ceremony. But what really makes this picture in my opinion is not just the beautiful oriental colors, textures and shapes, but that small piece of fabric standing out on the bottom right. It gives the image both a surreal twist as well as an early Nedernaldish art vibe, reminiscing the parapet in Van Eyck’s “Léal Souvenir” in a way. Let me know what you think!
