Evening Pond

I snuck out one evening after work to explore this pond I'd seen from the road. The dead cedar trees rise from the water, providing habitat for an abundance of life. I flushed a group of ducks, watched fish splash the water's surface, and listened to numerous birds perched in the trees. The gold and orange of fall in the surrounding trees gave way to the pastel blues, purples, and pinks of sunset. To top it off, the crescent moon watched over it all. I took a few photos and walked back to my truck as the coyotes serenaded me.
