Shrouded Serenity

My first trip to Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park in South Dakota revealed a scene that was shrouded in fog for the most part. However, it was one of the most quiet and peaceful settings I've ever been in. The cool temperatures and fog kept most people away, but also obscured much of the lake, forcing me to wander and explore it intimately. I was drawn to this rocky island being inhabited by this Canada goose. The sheer rocky shoreline is partially revealed through the fog, giving a sense of the rugged beauty of this place.
