Once In A Lifetime

I knew that I wanted to experience the eclipse out in nature, and the Missouri River bottom near Hartsburg, Missouri turned out to be the perfect place. In nature, we're always reminded of things much bigger than us. Any ordinary day, this giant old cottonwood would make me feel so small and my life so short. On days like Monday, with the corona of the sun shining down on us and an indescribable beauty surrounding us, even the tree seemed small and insignificant....just another witness to a once in a lifetime event.
